Objective: to create a safe and loving environment in which young people can grow through spiritual self-discovery.
Time commitment: 8-10 hours per week (including 3 hours per Sunday), plus any additional hours for special events and holidays
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Personal spiritual reflection
- Lesson preparation on a weekly basis (Unity curriculum provided)
- Serve as lead classroom teacher
- Coordinate lessons and support volunteer teachers
- Communicate with volunteers and parents
- Facilitate Youth and Family Ministry team meetings
- Meet with the minister and/or board liaison to keep them informed
- Purchase and sort supplies
- Schedule & plan youth and/or family special events
- Participate in UCR yearly calendar planning
Stipend: Commensurate with experience. Maximum is $3,000 annually.
