The Abrahamic Faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) share historical and religious roots as well as a common forbearer, Abraham. Join Rev. Debra Carter Williams for a three-part survey of these important traditions.

Overview of the Christian Scripture
Mondays |April 4- May 24 | 6:30 PM [8 weeks]
This course explores the genres of literature in the Christian Scripture [New Testament], which include narrative, historical, apocalyptic, and epistolary forms. The participants will explore various approaches to biblical study that illuminate the historical and cultural context, authorship, date of composition, theological concerns, and purpose of the text. Additionally, the class will examine the lens through which the message of Jesus Christ was interpreted.
This course is offered for credit through Unity’s Spiritual Enrichment and Education program (SEE); however, it is open to anyone on a noncredit basis. Required books: The Bible and Reading the Bible Again for the First Time (Borg). Facilitated by Rev. Debra Carter Williams.

These conversations explore Unity’s understanding of topics gleaned from the congregation. These gatherings aren’t classes, but deep discussions.
Bi-monthly | 6:30 PM
These conversations address issues such as racism, inclusion, immigration, and interfaith cooperation. Through panels, advocates, community leaders, and Unity teachers and clergy, the goal is to open the space for learning, dialogue, and healing.
