This workshop will offer a moment to catch your breath and renew your spirit as you are invited to:

  • Discern or recommit to your divine purpose and calling
  • Learn how to boldly and courageously live into your divine purpose
  • Use your passion and purpose to heal and transform the world

Sunday, October 13 – Debra will give the 10 am lesson

 A Certain Place  Using Luke 11:1-4

Description:  At one time or another, we all arrive at a place in which we feel vulnerable, anxious, and afraid. However, we can be certain that God is with us, and through the power of prayer, a season of uncertainty becomes a moment of transformation and growth.

Following the service, Brunch will be served with an opportunity to ask questions and hear more from Debra from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm.

A bit about Debra Carter Williams:

Debra currently lives in Macon, Georgia and is completing her Ministry Doctorate in Theology from Duke University.  She holds an Masters in Theology from Yale Divinity School, and has a Bachelors in Region and Philosophy from Wesleyan College. She was licensed and ordained as a Unity Minister in 1990 and until 2015 served as either Associate or Senior minister in Columbus,Ohio; Atlanta, GA; and Naples, Florida. Currently she is serving in a temporary role in an inclusive and diverse Methodist ministry with a strong focus on community engagement and social justice. She is eager to serve a diverse and God-centered Unity center, that is willing to engage with and respond from the impulse of the Spirit, to change lives and transform the world through the practical application of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
