Michael Row the Boat Ashore

Michael, row the boat ashore, Alleluia!
Michael, row the boat ashore, Alleluia!

Sister, help to trim the sails, Alleluia
Sister, help to trim the sails, Alleluia!

River Jordan is chilly and cold, Alleluia!
Chills the body, but not the soul,  Alleluia!

River Jordan is deep and wide, Alleluia!
Milk and honey on the other side, Alleluia!

Michael’s boat is a music boat, Alleluia!
Michael’s boat is a music boat, Alleluia!

Michael, row the boat ashore, Alleluia!
Michael, row the boat ashore, Alleluia!

Michael, row the boat ashore, Alleluia!
Michael, row the boat ashore, Alleluia!

Blowin’ In The Wind,  by Bob Dylan

How many roads must a man walk down,  Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail, Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, ‘n’ how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind,
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.

Yes, ‘n’ how many years can a mountain exist, Before it is washed to the sea?
Yes, ‘n’ how many years can some people exist,
Before they’re allowed to be free?
Yes, ‘n’ how many times can a man turn his head,
And pretend that he just doesn’t see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind,

The answer is blowin’ in the wind.

Yes, ‘n’ how many times must a man look up, Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ‘n’ how many ears must one man have,  Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ‘n’ how many deaths will it take ’til he knows,
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind,
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.

Opening Song

This Is The Day
This is the day, this is the day
that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made!
Let us rejoice, let us rejoice
and be glad in it, and be glad in it!

This is the day that the Lord has made!
Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
This is the day, this is the day
That the Lord has made!

REPEAT

Welcome and Invocation

There is only One Presence and One Power
in my life and in the universe, God the Good, Omnipotent.

Congregational Song

If I had a Hammer  by Pete Seeger

If I had a hammer, I’d hammer in the morning,
I’d hammer in the evening, all over this land.
I’d hammer out danger, I’d hammer out a warning,
I’d hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters,
all over this land. OOooo,

If I had a bell, I’d ring it in the morning,
I’d ring it in the evening, all over this land.
I’d ring out danger, I’d ring out a warning,
I’d ring out love between my brothers and my sisters,
All over this land, oo- oo

If I had a song, I’d sing it in the morning,
I’d sing it in the evening, all over this land!
I’d sing out danger, I’d sing out a warning!
I’d sing out love between my brothers and my sisters,
All over this land, oo – oo

Well I got a hammer, and I got a bell,
and I got a song to sing, all over this land!
It’s the hammer of freedom, it’s the bell of justice,
It’s the song about love between my brothers and my sisters,
All over this land.

It’s the hammer of justice, It’s the bell of freedom,
It’s the song about love between my brothers and my sisters,
all over this land!

Holy Ground” with “We are standing on Holy Ground

This is Holy Ground, We’re standing on Holy Ground,
For the Lord is present, and where He is, is Holy.
This is Holy Ground, we’re standing on Holy Ground,
For the Lord is present, and where He is, is Holy.

(CHORUS:)
We are standing on Holy Ground.
And I know that there are angels all around.
Let us praise Jesus now!
We are standing in the Presence, on Holy Ground.

This is Holy Time, God-given Holy Time
All Time is God’s, freely given to us.
This is Holy Time, God-given Holy Time
All Time is God’s, freely given to us.

CHORUS

These are Holy hands, God-given Holy hands.
God works through these hands, and so these hands are Holy.
These are Holy hands, God-given Holy hands.
God works through these hands, and so these hands are Holy.

CHORUS, 2 times

Lesson: “On Holy Ground”

Rev. Debra Carter Williams

Offertory

Divine Love, through me, blesses and multiples all that I am,
all that I give, and all that I receive. I am grateful.

Offertory Song

“We are One in the Spirit”

We are one in the spirit, we are one in the Lord
we are one in the spirit, we are one in the Lord
And we pray that our unity today is restored.
Everything is made Holy by our Love, by our Love,
Everything is made Holy by our Love.

We will work with each other, we will work side by side
we will work with each other, we will work side by side
And together we’ll build a world where love is not denied,
Everything is made Holy by our Love, by our Love,
Everything is made Holy by our Love.

We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand
we will walk with each other we will walk hand in hand.
And together we’ll spread the news that love is in this land
Everything is made Holy by our Love, by our Love,
Everything is made Holy by our Love.

Peace Song

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as Creator, family all are we
Let us walk with each other in perfect unity
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every breath I take
let this be my joyful vow
to take each moment and live
each moment in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me

Prayer for Protection

The light of God surrounds us
I AM the light of God
The love of God enfolds us
I AM the love of God
The power of God protects us
I AM the power of God
The presence of God watches over us
I AM the presence of God
Wherever God is I AM

God goes with you and before you in all that you do, making sure, safe, and smooth your way!

FAQ’s & Guidelines

Below are answers to your questions. Please know that the requests made below are based in sound
public health protocols and guidelines. Also, by living within these guidelines, we live into what it truly
means to “love our neighbor as ourselves.”

How will I know where and how to park?

Volunteers will guide you to a parking space. Parking will be configured differently than usual to allow
for appropriate physical distancing and line of sight.

How will I hear and participate in the service?

Rev. Debra, Nina Swanson, and those participating in the service will be outside near the portico. The sound will be amplified, but it will also be broadcast on AM 1250 station via a transmitter. You can just dial
in! The order of service is available on this page.

Will we sing?

If you are in your vehicle with your windows up, sing to your heart’s content! If you sit outside and choose to sing, please wear a mask and sit at a distance from others.

Must I wear a mask?

We ask that you wear a mask when you are outside your vehicle. Also, wear a mask if you are speaking to people through your car window. If you do not have a mask or forgot yours, we will provide one.

What about leaving my vehicle?

The safest way to gather is for all of us to remain in our vehicles. However, you may also sit outside in a lawn chair if you wear a mask and remain at least 6 feet from other congregants, and at least 18 feet
from the musician and speaker. If you have a portable AM radio, this might be an opportunity to use it!

What about rain?

We will not gather in rainy weather. You will receive an email if the service is cancelled. A cancellation will also be posted on social media.

Will the building be open?

One set of bathrooms will be open and we will observe a “two in and two out” protocol. The rest of the building will be closed.

In summary:

• Staying in your vehicle is encouraged
• If outside your vehicle, wear a mask or face shield and remain at least 6 feet from others and 18 feet from the minister and musician.
• Singing is best in your vehicle only. If your windows are down, wear a mask as you sing.
• Wear a mask when speaking through your open car window
• Only run your engine if necessary for comfort.
