Bio

Jan is a Licensed Unity Leader here at UCR receiving her license from Unity Worldwide Ministries in 2009. She is also a certified Unity Healing Prayer instructor, member of the Leadership Team and Spiritual Care Team, and chair of Sacred Grounds and Books Team at UCR. She served 6 years on the UCR Board in the roles of President and Secretary and 6 years on the Great Lakes Unity Region Board as LUT Regional Representative. She has taught many classes here over the years. Her favorites are any eco-spirituality classes using a variety of creativity and the class 12 Powerful Women of the Bible. Before retirement in 2008, Jan was an RN for 48 years, the last 25 in Oncology Nursing. She was a Certified Oncology Nurse passing the first national OCN exam. She is also a Certified Healing Touch, Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Practitioner. Over the years Jan has edited several newsletters, been published in several poetry anthologies, nature blogs, and oncology periodicals plus in Who's Who in American Nursing. She will share her love of writing, storytelling, poetry, art, and 12 powers with you today.
