The journey that led me to pay attention to nature's cycles and seasons has led to a beautiful and difficult uncovering of my divinity, opportunities for growth, and my ongoing intention to "Cocoon with the Season, Sing without Reason, and Emerge with “Widened Wings." Inspired by Starling Arrow in "Wild Sweet." 

Let's take the challenge from these challenging times to find more connections to our authentic selves. We will uncover and unlearn; connect to our divinity; find connections with others who empower authenticity in our raw and vulnerable forms; and be that for others. Let's collectively imagine a world where we show up in a way that gives permission for others to find love for themselves in the most authentic way.

Let's continue to connect to ourselves and our oneness as we share in loosely guided movement and dance to gift ourselves the permission to move through the metamorphism and emerge with magnificent and mighty wings. 

 

Rachel Pennel

Mom of Boys, Cedar Rapids Transplant, Recently welcomed into the 40+ club, Public Servant by trade, Gypsy Spirit by soul. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of St Mary’s in Leavenworth, KS. Currently employed with the Social Security Administration, with a wide array of past work experience. She grew up working in the print shop for a small family-owned printing company that provided rural county directories to Rural Kansas and returned for a couple of years selling advertising while her father was battling colon cancer. She also worked with students in Special Education on all intellectual levels. She also has experience in Real Estate working as a transaction coordinating and marketing for high-performing Real Estate Teams. Rachel moved here in January of 2020 with her ex-wife and boys. She has felt a beautiful yearning and knowing Cedar Rapids is the right place for this time in her life, whatever reason that is, she is continuing to open up to. She enjoys playing and supporting her boys in sports, naturing, rating, and being as she navigates through this journey post-divorce and still emerging. Slowly. From the cocoon.
