Laura will remind us of the Unity teachings that prosperity is consciousness. If our consciousness is in lack, we will experience lack – of time, of money, of love, of health. If our consciousness is in the flow of abundance, we will experience abundance – of time, of money, of love, of health. We don’t have to suffer. We have a choice.

Does that sound “sketchy”, unrealistic, or naïve? Let’s explore it together.

22 Daily Prosperity Practices

Rediscovering Charles and Myrtle Fillmore's Vision — Unity Center of Cedar Rapids

“Prosperity is founded upon a realization of God as the omnipresent, abundant supply of every good thing.”

— Charles Fillmore

Content adapted from Unity Communities and Leaders, “Daily Prosperity Practices for a Unity Board, Leaders or Community.”

  • Feel Abundance
Open every day with an affirmation, then spend five minutes simply feeling abundance — not asking for it.
  • Stop Talking Lack
Words are formative. Replace “I’m struggling” with “I am growing” and “I am discovering new channels” and “I am open and receptive to my good.” “The sky is the limit; my future is infinite; my possibilities are endless…” (Tom Polce, Kay Hanley)
  • Be Grateful for What You Have
Ask each day: what are three things I’m grateful for? Celebrate people, pets, life, love, answered prayers, ideas, kindness, imagination, beauty, air conditioning, rain. The more you look, the more you will find.
  • Daily Prosperity Affirmations and Blessings
Five minutes each morning affirming abundance, divine guidance, and that I prosper because I bless others.
  • Bless Every Dollar
Never resent money — bless it and bless the people behind every payment and every gift received.
  • Expect Good
Ask “How am I preparing for the wonderful opportunities that are coming?” instead of “Will opportunity come?”
  • See the Christ in Everyone
Before every interaction, silently affirm: “The Christ in me beholds the Christ in you.”
  • Mission Before Maintenance
Ask “What transformation am I creating?” instead of “How do I pay the bills?”
  • Practice Generous Thinking
Each day ask: who can I encourage, thank, serve, or bless today?
  • Weekly Testimony Time
Acknowledge where abundance showed up this week — healing, kindness, guidance, life -- not just money.
  • Tithe Your Time, Talent, AND Treasure
Think about how you're giving your smile, encouragement, wisdom, listening, and presence. Prosperity is circulation.
  • See Yourself Already Thriving
Spend time visualizing it: imagine what thriving looks like for you; be specific. Charles Fillmore practiced this long before it was popular.
  • Replace Fear with Faith
When anxiety appears, pause and affirm: “There is order in the universe. I am in the flow of my good.”
  • Ask Prosperity Questions
Instead of “How do I survive?” ask “What wants to be born here?” or “Where is Spirit already at work?”
  • Celebrate Every Increase
Recognize one successful workday, one healed relationship, one answered prayer. Prosperity grows through recognition.
  • Speak Prosperity Over Your Home
Walk through your home prayerfully and bless every room. Feel grateful for shelter and protection -- and a canvas to express your uniqueness.
  • Look for the Divine Idea in the Challenge
Ask “What new divine idea is trying to emerge through this challenge?” The problem isn't the teacher — the idea is.
  • Become a Giving Person
Support missions, feed people, offer scholarships, sponsor youth, be a helper. Generosity creates circulation.
  • End Bill-paying or Balance-checking with One Question
Ask “What would a prosperous person do next?” instead of “What can I afford?”
  • Daily Prosperity Reading
Read one page a day from classic Unity prosperity literature — Fillmore, Ponder, Butterworth, Hasselbeck, or the new Ken Daigel book.
  • Keep the High Watch
Before discussing a challenge, ask “What is the highest spiritual truth about this situation?” Refuse to let appearances determine your thinking.
  • Practice Daily Forgiveness
Each evening, ask: whom do I need to forgive today? Release resentment and open to the free flow of Divine Love.
