We are so grateful to have had so many opportunities to learn from Rev. Paul over these many years. Paul was known to say, "Now that I know you, we are forever connected".
Thank you, Paul, for your wisdom, your love, and your connection. You left your impact and will forever be in our hearts.

We honor the life and legacy of Rev. Paul Hasselbeck, D.D., who has made his transition. A beloved teacher, author, minister, and a true “rock star” of the Unity movement, Paul dedicated his life to exploring—and helping others explore—the fundamental nature of reality, oneness, and our own divine potential.

Widely recognized as one of Unity’s leading authorities on metaphysics, Paul brought joy, passion, and a wonderfully contagious enthusiasm to every classroom, workshop, and stage where he taught. He laughingly called himself “the god-slayer”—a nickname that originated with his students— because he so thoroughly challenged their traditional ideas about God and introduced them to mind-blowing concepts of spiritual principles.

Ordained in 1996, Paul served in numerous roles throughout his remarkable career, including ministerial service, retreat ministry, and 10 years as dean of instruction for the Unity Spiritual Education and Enrichment program.

He also authored or co-authored several influential books, including the seminal Heart-Centered Metaphysics, used worldwide as a primary text for metaphysical study. His books on practical metaphysics, the 12 powers, and his emails called “The Absolute Word”—a weekly reconstruction of Daily Word messages—inspired seekers everywhere. He also reached thousands as co-host of the podcast Metaphysical Romp 2 with Revs. Drs. Cher and Bil Holton, where his humor, clarity, and depth helped make even the most complex ideas “impossibly fun.”

Paul’s legacy lives on in the countless students, friends, and spiritual explorers he touched. We are grateful for the gifts he shared and the light he brought to our world. May his spiritual journey continue in peace, joy, and infinite love.
