Bio

Annie Scholl is a writer, a former Cedar Rapids Gazette reporter, a Reiki master and a certified death doula and dying coach. She writes the Bright Lights column for Spirituality & Health: A Unity Publication and has written for Daily Word and HuffPost, among others. Annie works full-time for a higher education marketing company based in North Carolina, where she lives with her wife, their two dogs, and three cats. An Iowa native and University of Iowa graduate, Annie was an active member of UCR for 14 years before moving from her hometown of Cedar Rapids in 2012. She still considers UCR her spiritual home.
