Kerry Batteau will share his journey of finding peace through the creator and native ceremony.
Kerry is Blackfoot, French and German, however he has followed his native culture for over 35 years. He has participated in Wi Wanag Wachipis, Pow Wows, humblechas and Inipi ceremonies for years. Kerry is a traditional dancer, and he dances for those who cannot. He says, “I was told by my Meskwaki grandfather several years ago to begin pouring Inipi ceremonies for the people. When you are given permission to do this for the people you no longer live your life for you; it is about serving the people who request your help. The creator does the hard work and you are a mere conduit for the people.” Kerry is 59 years old and has a zest for life and nature. He feels it is important that we take care of our sacred Mother Earth so our children's’ grandchildren will have the ability to enjoy the amazing gifts Mother Earth provides for us to see today. Kerry does his very best to only take what he needs and leave the rest for seven generations to come.
