“Holding Sacred Space”

Talk SummaryWorkshop

Holding Sacred Space

During times such as these, of rapid change and heightened anxiety, how do we create space to listen to God, ourselves and one another? Our lesson today is about using change for our spiritual growth as individuals and as a community. Rev. Greg Coles shares a refreshing perspective of change called Theory U, and how we can use this model as a tool for compassionate change and spiritual growth. Following the service there will be a light lunch served for those who wish to stay for our Sacred Listening Circle.

Workshop after Service

Sacred Listening Circle

Unity of the Cedar Rapids is experiencing a period of transition and change. Following a global pandemic, and in the midst of social justice issues and wars in Europe and Middle East, we are grieving the loss of our minister. While change and anxiety are natural, it is how we adapt and navigate change that will determine our new future. Join Reverend Greg Coles in a sacred time of holding space for one another, to presence and give voice to the feelings change is bringing to our spiritual community at this time. Each person will be invited to share from their heart about the changes they have seen or would like to see at our Unity Spiritual Center. All are encouraged to attend, share and participate.
