George Saunders, acclaimed writer, once said that, “kindness is the only non-delusional response to the human condition.” This hit me as a great truth to explore, as well as a chance to interrogate all of the delusions I carry with me! In so doing, let me share with you how this has manifested in my life as I invite all of you to see how it can be a lens through which to examine yours this Sunday.

A member of UCR since 2012, I’ve had the pleasure of serving our spiritual commUnity as a Board member, a Platform Chair, and now again as a member of our Minister Search team. But I also walk alongside all of you as a person who is continually learning and growing as a spiritual being, constantly interacting and reacting to everyone around me. As a husband, father, teacher, frustrated musician, and active nature lover, I look forward to seeing what’s up around the bend with all of you.
